From April 29 to May 3, 2013 Paradigm Research Group produced its most ambitious project - the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure. Forty witnesses from ten countries were brought to the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Researchers, activist and military/agency persons of high rank and station testified for thirty hours over five days before six former members of the U. S. An event with historical implications will be held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC from April 29 to May 3, 2013.

The Citizen Hearing Committee will be Senator Mike Gravel (Dem/Lib, AK), Congresswomen Lynn Woolsey (Dem, CA), Carolyn Kilpatrick, (Dem, MI), Darlene Hooley (Dem, OR); and Congressmen Roscoe Bartlett (Rep, MD) and Merrill Cook (Rep, UT).
The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race will attempt to accomplish what the Congress has failed to do for forty-five years - seek out the facts surrounding the most important issue of this or any other time.

February 28, 2012–On September 22, 2011 PRG submitted Disclosure Petition I to the White House "We the People" project. On November 4, 2011 the White House responded. That response included the following statement: "The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race.
In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye." PRG will submit Disclosure Petition II - The Rockefeller Initiative to the "We the People" project. This petition requires 25,000 signatures within 30 days (by March 22). Exopolitical Activist and executive director of the Paradigm Research Group, Stephen Bassett will discuss these petitions. February 23, 2012–In three half-hour segments, investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe discussed the large number of strange and unexplained horn-like sounds filling the air since March 2011 and possible causes. The phenomenon surfaced after a number of videos were uploaded on YouTube from such divergent places as Norway, Costa Rica, Tennessee and Kiev, Ukraine. Recently, Linda interviewed two witnesses in Tennessee, who in separate locations, heard the Kiev-like horn sounds on January 18-19, 2012. One of the witnesses, retired real estate agent Cindy Smith was packing her car for a trip when the air was filled with the Kiev horn sounds coming from every direction. The strange sounds lasted about 30 seconds and left Cindy frightened, wanting to know what happened.

First hour guest, UFO disclosure activist Stephen Bassett talked about a new petition he is spearheading, which is posted on the White House/We the People website. In response to a previous petition, the Obama administration declared that the US govt. has no knowledge of ET contact, so the new petition asks for information related to the Rockefeller Initiative which was said to investigate the ET question during the Clinton administration. Bassett noted that the new petition needs to get 25,000 signatures in order to receive a response from the government.

His latest effort is for a World Disclosure Day, and he noted with interest, that a large number of online endorsements have come from citizens of mainland China. He suggested that the defunding of SETI could have a positive effect on disclosure, because he believes the program serves as a propaganda front to take the the pressure off the government revealing what it knows.
Bassett also argued that the emergence of more high profile contactees (such as musicians Sammy Hagar, and Robbie Williams), as well as coverage of the topic on such TV programs as The Daily Show and Colbert Report will help drive the disclosure movement.
