COAST TO COAST AM - September 12, 2020. Legendary UFO expert Jacques Vallee joined guest host Jimmy Church in the middle two hours of the program to delve UFO mysteries and disclosure.

"One of the things that the UFO community has failed to do so far is to enlist the interest of the... scientific community," Vallee said, noting UFO researchers could use a series of 'sanity checks' on their data. He pondered the meaning of disclosure and pointed out it could only come from the agencies that oversee the cover-up.

COAST TO COAST AM - Jacques Vallee speculated that the alien beings may be able to present any appearance of themselves that they choose. In Stivelman's new documentary, the aliens are depicted as luminous beings.

The cutting of the animal aboard the ship possibly relates to the mysterious cases of animal mutilation, Vallee added, and Perez's horse, which he tied to the ship's ladder, died within a week of the encounter, though Perez did not seem to suffer any ill effects.

However, after the event, Perez began to have disturbing precognitive dreams that presaged deaths and accidents of those around him. "For him," Stivelman noted, "rather than a gift, it was more like a curse." Stivelman also met with indigenous South American shamans to learn their perspective on UFO encounters. One told him that these experiences were dualistic-- with both good and evil sides, so they should be approached with caution and that Perez's experience could be considered a kind of shamanic initiation.

Jacques Vallée is a French-born venture capitalist, computer scientist, author, UFO researcher and former astronomer. He was a major proponent for the idea that UFOs were the result of highly advanced extraterrestrial civilizations; however he eventually began to expand his views and now believes the explanation may be inter-dimensional in nature. Having been a prominent figure in UFO research he was the inspiration for the main character in Stephen Spielberg's movie, Close Encounter of the Third Kind, Claude Lacombe. He has recently released his latest book, Wonders in the Sky: Unexplained Aerial Objects from Antiquity to Modern Times.
