Walter Cruttenden discusses some of the ideas in his 2005 book Lost Star of Myth and Time.
The myth and folklore of ancestral peoples around the world hints at a vast cycle of time, with alternating Dark and Golden Ages. Plato called it the Great Year. Long believed to be a fairy tale, there is now new astronomical evidence to show it has a basis in fact. Moreover, because it is caused by the acceleration of our Sun around another star, we learn that the Earth should soon be carried into a region of space that will have a beneficial effect on our atmosphere, nudging mankind into a higher state of consciousness.
Lost Star of Myth and Time weaves together some of the latest archaeological evidence with cutting-edge astronomy to reveal a history of the world that finally fits with myth, folklore and the archaeological record. While the book explores some of the most interesting aspects of a once advanced civilization that covered the Earth, it is really about what happens to the Earth and consciousness as our solar system moves through space in the mysterious motion known as the precession of the equinox. Since the days of Isaac Newton, this astronomical phenomenon has been attributed to local gravitational forces wobbling the Earth’s axis. Lost Star now shows us in no uncertain terms that the Earth’s axis does not change orientation relative to objects inside the solar system at the same rate as it changes orientation to objects outside the solar system, meaning precession must be due to our Sun’s binary motion around another star.
Chapter by chapter it becomes clear that ancient cultures knew of precession, used it as the clock of the ages, understood it to be due to the solar system’s motion through space, and realized this subjects the Earth to a cycle of waxing and waning stellar influences. It is these forces that affect our magnetosphere, ionosphere and indirectly create the larger seasons of the Great Year. December 25, 2013–Robert Bauval was born in Alexandria, Egypt to Belgian parents. He is a researcher of ancient Egypt and a bestselling author, probably best known for his Orion Correlation Theory. His research has been featured in documentaries throughout the world.
He returns to discuss lies and accusations made about him by Zahi Hawass, which were published in the newspaper 'Al Masry Al Yom'. Dr Zahi Hawass, ex Minister of State for Antiquities, revealed that "the robberies of King Khufu's cartouche was done on behalf of, Robert Bauval, an Egyptian Jew working in Belgium, who has been trying by every means to prove that the pyramid is a Jewish and not Egyptian product."
Hawass claimed that Robert collaborated and paid two German amateur archaeologists to steal the cartouche of the pharaoh Khufu inside a relief chamber of the Great Pyramid. He added: "I would like to make it clear that the foreign vandals are led by an Egyptian Jew living in Belgium, who had previously sent more than one person, who were all forbidden completely, and with whom I have had many battles, and he wrote a book before trying to prove that the pyramid was not Egyptian." Hawass confirmed that "it was not permitted to enter the pyramid except through tourist companies in order to make control, which is the opposite of what is happing now; which allowed the samples to be smuggled." Weaved into this story is that of the Kariong Glyphs, a group of approximately 300 alleged Egyptian hieroglyphs in and around an area that is also known for its Aboriginal petroglyphs.
Steven and Evan have developed much of their work from consultations with Aboriginal people in Australia. Set at the foot of the Giza pyramids and along the banks of the Nile River, this gathering sought to celebrate life and the resetting of the 26,000 year cyclic calendar which came to pass on the Winter Solstice 2012.
The Great Convergence featured top Egyptian acts including the renowned Sufi dance group, Al-Tannoura Whirling Dervishes, and a selection of top electronic music producers and DJ’s from around the the world including headliners Beats Antique, Apparat, Random Rab, Bluetech, Gaudi, Govinda, Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, DJ Dragonfly, and Imagika Om.

April 19, 2011–Engineer & Egyptologist Robert Bauval discussed the recent revolution in Egypt, the fate of Antiquities Director Zahi Hawass, and some the mysteries of the pyramids at Giza, and the Sphinx. Interestingly, while civilization has its roots in Egypt, the country has never had a democracy before, he noted, adding that pharaonic rule lasted for 3,000 years. Regarding the revolution, "to me what was astounding was the amazing courage of young people" who showed such persistence and tenacity after being gassed, shot at, beaten, and attacked; they remained in Cairo's Tahrir Square waving flags, and refusing to budge until they got what they wanted, he recounted.
Zahi Hawass, Egypt's top archaeologist, has been charged in criminal court in connection with a case brought against his ministry. On his website, he posted a decree that he will not serve any jail time. Yet, Bauval said this document was simply a receipt of his appeal process, and no final judgment has been made. He was critical of Hawass' autocratic style, and his refusal to consider any Egyptology theories that didn't mesh with his own, such as suppositions proposed by Bauval, John Anthony West, Robert Schoch, and Graham Hancock that Egypt had a much earlier chronology.
Historian Ahmed Osman, who is collaborating with Bauval for a book on Hawass, joined the conversation for a segment. He concurred that Hawass actively sought to silence all the other voices on Egyptian antiquities, angering other archaeologists (see related article from the Washington Post). Bauval talked about anomalies at Giza, including temples built with 200-ton blocks, which indicate to him they were constructed via some type of lost or unknown technology. He also reviewed findings from his recent book Black Genesis (see earlier recap).
Prescription Drug Abuse
First hour guest, Dr. John Abramson addressed the growing problem of prescription drug abuse (the Obama administration has just unveiled a plan to fight the epidemic). The abuse of painkillers is out of control, and it's one of the biggest health problems we've got, Abramson commented. "Oxycontin really ushered in a new era of prescription drug abuse in the U.S.," with doctors convinced by marketing efforts of pharmaceutical companies to write more prescriptions for this drug, he explained. And now marketing and money-making have taken precedence over people's well being, he lamented.
